PARKERSBURG — Southside Rumble 10, set for a 6 p.m. start Saturday inside Parkersburg South's Rod Oldham Athletic Center, should feature a little of everything.

In the main event, Andrew Satterfield is set to square off against Justin "Teddy Bear" Novaria in a professional Dawghouse Promotions heavyweight title fight.

"I’m very ready. I’ve not fought in town since 2018," admitted Satterfield, a 2013 Calhoun County graduate. "I’m very excited. I’ve been training for a 10-round fight and this is only six.

"I’ve had three solid months to get in shape. I’ve been doing four to six miles five times a week. I’m in top shape. I’m ready to put on a show."

Novaria and Satterfield have collided twice before.

"I knocked him through the ropes for a KO, but he was pretty out of shape," Satterfield admitted of the first fight but noted the rematch went all six rounds and he had his hand raised thanks to a split decision.

"This is like the trilogy to see who is the top between us both. He has a lot of hype behind him because he's a veteran. The guy is very seasoned and very talented. It's boxing and a fight. Anything can happen. One punch changes everything."

Satterfield said his last fight came in October in the Keystone State, but he had to settle for a draw.

"I beat him every round on everybody's card aside from the judges," added the former Red Devil. "I’ve just been hungry and been looking to get a win.

"I’m in shape and looking to cruise and stay in shape, and take a few more serious fights in the future. Just ready."

The first two bouts on the card are a pair of MMA fights featuring Dawghouse Promotions’ Joey Weaver (vs. Clint McGilvry) and Daryl Davis (vs. TJ Arthur).

A trio of amateur DP championship belts also will be on the line along with one amateur kickboxing match pitting Austin Warren against Cameron Carver.

Dawghouse Promotions’ Mike Sheppard will have Trevor Bell going for the 152-pound belt, Vinny Baisi seeking the 165-pound title and Michael "Make it Happen" Brown going at 178.

Bell is facing Jacob Stanton from VO2 Fitness, Baisi will mix it up with Craycraft Boxing Club's Darren Gardens while Brown is being challenged by Demitree Turner of Ohio Valley MMA.

Brown is a three-time Rough N’ Rowdy champion, winning his latest title earlier this month on his birthday in Charleston after beating former 9-0 champ Bobby Laing.

"I know he's a tough kid and he's real strong," Brown said of Turner. "He trains hard and comes from a real good gym. He's like a three-time toughman champ. I have an advantage on him.

"He's never fought a three-minute round before and I’ve had three, three-minute round fights, and I have some experience with that."

When asked about his strategy for the fight, Brown said he has caught a couple of his toughman fights.

"Didn't impress me much, but that's not boxing. He walked through those guys," Brown said of Turner. "He kind of has the upper hand of watching how I fight. I don't know much about how he fights, but I have something inside.

"That willpower and drive, and God got me this far in life. God has given me a second chance at life and I feel like I’m using this to like pass on God's message. Boxing is just a hobby for me, but the important thing is passing the message of God and loving one another."

Concession stand proceeds will benefit the Parkersburg South wrestling program.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and there will be an after fight party at the West Virginia Polo Club.

Fight fans also can opt to watch the show via pay-per-view at fights.platformvideo.live.
